10-Point Pre-Departure Checklist
Passport, ticket, payment, data, and transport checks in one list.
Run through this checklist the night before departure. Most travel disasters are preventable with a 10-minute review.
Passport validity
Most countries require at least 6 months validity beyond your return date. Check now — renewing a passport takes 2–4 weeks.
Visa requirements
Verify whether your destination requires a visa for Korean passport holders. Some countries require online pre-approval (ETA, ESTA, eVisa).
Mobile boarding pass
Check in via app 24–48 hours before. Download the boarding pass offline so it shows even without internet at security.
Confirm your terminal (T1 or T2)
It is printed on your e-ticket. Going to the wrong terminal costs 30+ minutes.
Power banks charged & packed in carry-on
Power banks cannot go in checked baggage. Charge overnight and put in your hand luggage.
Liquids in 100ml containers
Pack your 1-litre clear bag the night before. Remove any containers over 100 ml.
Data plan / eSIM activated
Activate roaming or eSIM before departure. Set up at home while on Wi-Fi.
Travel insurance
Check whether your credit card provides auto insurance for flights booked with it. If not, purchase a separate policy.
Airport transport planned
Confirm your bus/train time or taxi booking. Check the last train time if departing early morning.
SmartPass / check-in registered
If using SmartPass, add your boarding pass in the app. If checking in online, save the QR code offline.
