Mobile Check-in & Self Check-in Guide — Skip the Queue
How to check in via app, kiosk, and self baggage drop for a faster airport experience.
After check-in comes security
Once mobile check-in is done, the next gate is the security wait. See typical busy hours on Busy Times and live departure congestion on Departure status to plan your arrival time. (updated for 2026)
Checking in via app or kiosk means no queuing at the check-in counter. For passengers with carry-on only, this can save 30+ minutes at the airport.
Option 1: Airline App Check-in
Open your airline app 24–48 hours before departure. Select your seat, add meal preferences, and download or screenshot the mobile boarding pass. Most major airlines support this: Korean Air, Asiana, Jeju Air, Delta, United, and more.
- ✅ No printer needed — show your phone at security and gates
- ✅ Select preferred seats in advance at no extra cost
- ⚠️ Some destinations (e.g., US flights) may still require a physical boarding pass
Option 2: Airport Self Check-in Kiosks
Located throughout T1 and T2 departure floors. Scan your passport, choose your seat, and print your boarding pass. Available from 24 hours before departure.
Option 3: Self Baggage Drop
After mobile/kiosk check-in, use the self baggage drop lane instead of the full-service counter. Tag your bag at the kiosk, place it on the belt, and done. Available for Korean Air, Asiana, and several international carriers at Incheon.
