Incheon Airport to Seoul City — 5 Ways to Get There

Compare AREX, limousine bus, taxi, shuttle, and rental car for the journey into Seoul.

Incheon Airport is about 50 km west of Seoul. Five main options connect the airport to the city — each with different costs, travel times, and convenience levels.

Option 1: AREX (Airport Railroad)

The most reliable and weather-proof option. Express train reaches Seoul Station in 43 minutes (₩9,500). General train takes 56 minutes with stops (₩4,350). Departs every 5–30 minutes depending on time of day.

Option 2: Airport Limousine Bus

Door-to-door from airport to hotel areas. Routes cover Gangnam, Hongdae, Myeongdong, Jamsil, and more. Fares ₩9,000–17,000. Travel time 60–90 minutes depending on traffic.

Option 3: Taxi or Kakao T

Most convenient for late night or with heavy luggage. ₩65,000–₩90,000 to central Seoul. Night surcharge applies 22:00–04:00. Book Kakao T in advance for transparent pricing.

Option 4: Call Van

Best for large groups (5–8 people) with lots of luggage. Fixed rates, no meter surprises. Book at Call Van counter in arrivals hall (1F).

Option 5: Rental Car

Available from major international and Korean rental companies (Hertz, Enterprise, Lotte, SK). Pick up at 1F arrivals. International Driving Permit (IDP) required for non-Korean licence holders.
