Last updated: 2026.06.07

Busan is Korea's second-largest city and its most vibrant coastal destination. This 2-night 3-day itinerary takes you from the golden sands of Haeundae to the colorful alleyways of Gamcheon Culture Village, the bustle of Jagalchi Market, and the breathtaking Gwangandaegyo Bridge at night.

1 Day 1 — Haeundae & the Coast

  • Haeundae Beach (10 AM): Korea's most famous beach. Walk the 1.8 km shoreline, try fresh raw fish (hoe) at the Haeundae Market just behind the beach.
  • Dongbaekseom Island (1 PM): A small wooded peninsula with walking trails and stunning views of the Haeundae skyline. Camellia trees bloom beautifully in winter.
  • Dalmaji Hill (3 PM): The "Montmartre of Busan" — a scenic road lined with cherry trees (spectacular in spring) and art cafes. Watch the sunset over the East Sea from here.
  • Evening: Dinner at Haeundae Sijangguk Street. Try dwaeji gukbap (pork rice soup), Busan's signature comfort food.

2 Day 2 — Culture & Night View

  • Gamcheon Culture Village (10 AM): Busan's "Machu Picchu" — a hillside neighborhood of brightly painted houses, murals, and art installations. Allow 2 hours to explore the winding alleys. Purchase the stamp map at the entrance for ₩2,000.
  • Jagalchi Market (1 PM): Korea's largest seafood market. Choose your fresh catch from the stalls downstairs and have it prepared on the spot upstairs. Must-try: sea cucumber, abalone, and live sashimi.
  • BIFF Square (3 PM): The center of the Busan International Film Festival. Browse street food stalls selling guksu (noodles) and hotteok (cinnamon pancakes).
  • Gwangandaegyo Bridge Night View (8 PM): The 7.4 km bridge lights up spectacularly after dark. Gwangan Beach is the best vantage point — grab a beer from a pojangmacha (street tent bar) and take it all in.

3 Day 3 — Temple & Departure

  • Haedong Yonggungsa Temple (9 AM): A rare seaside Buddhist temple built on rocky cliffs — one of Korea's most dramatic religious sites. The sunrise view here is unforgettable.
  • Gijang (11 AM): A small fishing village 30 minutes from central Busan, famous for fresh crab and the scenic coastal trail.
  • Departure: Gimhae International Airport is 40 minutes from Haeundae by subway (Line 2 → Busan-Gimhae Light Rail). Busan Station (KTX to Seoul) is 40 minutes from Haeundae by subway Line 2.

💡 Busan Travel Tips

Busan's subway system (Lines 1–4 plus the light rail) connects all major attractions efficiently. The Haeundae–Seomyeon–Jagalchi corridor is the main tourist spine. A T-money card works on all Busan public transport.

From Seoul, KTX takes 2 hours 30 minutes to Busan Station. Book tickets in advance on the Korail website, especially for weekend travel. The scenic Mugunghwa or ITX trains offer a slower, cheaper alternative.
